Operation Gratitude

During an October 1967 week-end, as part of Operation Gratitude, there were pro-GI demonstrations in 75 cities, stretching from the middle of the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea and north to the Arctic Circle (Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska.)

In just the greater New York City area alone, hundreds of thousands took part.
